Sky Sports journalist: Rangers hierarchy will be under siege following latest ‘disaster’
Dan Bardell says Rangers will be happy for the international break after losing 3-0 to Celtic at Parkhead on Sunday. It was a bad day’s work for the Gers, not only suffering a detrimental outcome but also turning up a shocking display in the Old Firm.
Philippe Clement’s team struggled to properly land a glove on their main opponents, which was undoubtedly the most irritating reason for fans who congregated outside Ibrox to vent their rage at the manager and his squad. Bardell, a Sky Sports and talkSPORT pundit, believes the international break has arrived at an ideal time to rebuild following the humiliating setback.
Speaking exclusively to Ibrox News, Bardell said: “Rangers’ current situation appears to be dire. There isn’t much for their fans to rally behind right now.
“Losing the Old Firm is a calamity in and of itself, but the manner in which they did so demonstrates the vast disparity between the two squads. “It’s a pretty terrible period, and they’ll be grateful for the international break.
There is a wide separation between the two, and I think questions will be asked of the hierarchy more than there were before.
