In dramatic NBA play on Thursday, the Chicago Bulls defeated the Golden State Warriors 125-122 thanks to the heroics of DeMar DeRozan.
DeRozan’s 33 points proved to be significant, including a three-point play in the closing seconds and a pivotal jumper early in the game. Steve Kerr, the coach of the Warriors, acknowledged DeRozan’s ten-year success as a closer and complimented him on his ability to close out games.
“I believe DeMar’s and-one was the crucial play in the final minutes,” Kerr remarked. “.. DeMar has been one of the best closers in the league for ten years.
The Warriors suffered a heartbreaking loss as Stephen Curry’s problematic right ankle gave out once more. Curry’s condition was not discussed by Warriors coach Steve Kerr after the game; he merely mentioned that his foot was being treated with an ice bath.
In spite of Klay Thompson’s heroics, which included a late 3-pointer that gave the Warriors a brief lead, Curry’s exit with 3:51 left was a major setback. Curry finished with 15 points before he left the game, and Thompson scored 25 points.

The game wasn’t without drama, with Chicago almost losing due to a confrontation involving assistant coach Chris Fleming of the Bulls. But after the incident, the league did not take any disciplinary action.
In the near future, the Warriors get ready to meet the San Antonio Spurs, while the Bulls take on the Los Angeles Clippers.
