SAD NEWS: Newcastle United star facing four months out due to injury, according to a new clip.
Joelinton is back in the gym following thigh surgery this month, according to a recent video.
During the FA Cup 3-0 victory against Tyne-Wear rivals Sunderland, the Brazilian became aware of the problem. It was once thought that the football player would be out of commission for at least six weeks before the severity of the injury was revealed.
Following surgery, the 27-year-old will miss four months of action and is vying to return to action this season. Now, Joelinton’s longtime lover Thays Gondim has updated United supporters with a video of the midfield player working out to regain his strength.
The Brazilian uploaded a romantic video of the couple working out together—Joelinton using the leg curl machine—to her Instagram account.
Joelinton’s rehabilitation is on way, and he may be closer to full fitness before United’s season-ending encounter against Brentford on May 19.
The football player is still surrounded by some mystery, though.
Howe has conceded that Joelinton’s sale this summer “is a possibility”.
The midfield player, who signed a contract worth a club record £40 million in 2019 when he signed from Hoffenheim, will have just 12 months remaining on it by the time he is healthy again.
Although discussions about a new agreement have taken place, the two sides are still far from reaching a consensus. When asked on Friday if there had been any developments, Howe only said, “No.”
Joelinton has made 180 appearances for Newcastle, contributing 15 assists and 25 goals. Joelinton debuted in Brazil last year.
