REPORT: Sergio Perez is accused of being white-antied by the son of one of the Red Bull greatest driver.
In a shocking turn of events, Mexican racing driver Sergio Perez, also known as “Checo” Perez, has found himself embroiled in a scandal involving the son of one of Red Bull Racing’s most renowned drivers.
According to reports, the Red Bull junior driver in question has allegedly been spreading rumors and false information about Perez’s on-track performance and relationship with the team, in what has been described as a “white-anting” campaign.
Perez, who has been a key player in Red Bull’s recent success, was reportedly shocked to learn of the accusations and has vehemently denied any wrongdoing. In a statement released to the media, he declared, “I am a loyal team player and I have always put the interests of Red Bull first. These accusations are completely false and I am deeply saddened that someone within my own team would stoop to such a level.”
The alleged “white-anting” campaign is said to have originated from a rift between Perez and the Red Bull junior driver, who is believed to be eyeing a future spot on the main team.
The fallout from the incident has been swift and severe, with Red Bull Racing taking a hard-line stance against any form of sabotage or infighting within the team. In response to the allegations, team principal Christian Horner released a statement condemning the junior driver’s behavior and reaffirming his support for Perez.
“We will not tolerate any form of negative or underhanded tactics within our team,” Horner stated. “Checo is a valuable member of our team and we will do everything in our power to protect him and ensure that he is treated fairly and with respect.”
