REPORT: Milan might spend €20 million in a center-back auction given the likelihood of one.
Since Simon Kjaer is anticipated to leave the team this summer, Milan is also expected to bolster their defense in addition to their offensive line. They have a young player on their radar, and given the likelihood of such action, the Rossoneri may activate the release clause.
Milan has no plans to extend Kjaer’s contract, which expires in the summer. Because of this and Pierre Kalulu’s injury history, the Rossoneri will need to bolster their defense this summer. They might sign a player for the future in addition to one who is “ready.”
Aaron Anselmino of Boca Juniors may be the player of the future, according to Tuttosport, which was cited by Radio Rossonera. The 18-year-old has a €20 million release clause and has drawn interest from both Man Utd and Everton. In light of this, Milan might proceed more quickly than anticipated.
While they assess the circumstances, Geoffrey Moncada and Antonio D’Ottavio may choose to activate the player’s release clause at the beginning of the summer to prevent an auction. There are still some unanswered questions, though, as everything will depend on the finances.
According to earlier reports, the scout who gave Milan the recommendation for Enzo Fernandez is also the one who has given Anselmino a positive reference. That speaks a lot all by itself.
