Rangers star flees Glasgow Airport after ‘Shock’ change of events, according to report.

It was observed at Glasgow Airport after being left out of the Rangers’ Europa League group stage squad, according to the Scottish Daily Mail. The newspaper reported on September 6 (page 84) that the 25-year-old will be out injured for a longer period of time, but the Gers have disputed allegations of additional surgery.

The Brazilian was observed leaving Glasgow Airport to “recover” following his “shock omission” from Philippe Clement’s European team. Rangers star Danilo has been left out of the Europa League team. The former Feyenoord striker has failed to find his footing since joining Ibrox for £6 million from the Netherlands [Sky Sports]. Injuries have limited him to just 13 league matches for the Gers and 10 in other tournaments [FotMob].

Given the sum he paid, Clement would have expected much more, but the Brazilian can only do so much. Fortunately for the Light Blues, Cyriel Dessers has filled in the gaps with strong goal-scoring form, despite some frustrating displays.

There is no doubt that having a fully fit Danilo at Ibrox for the remainder of the season would be beneficial following a dismal start to the season.

Unfortunately, given his previous injury issues in Glasgow, it does not appear that this will happen anytime soon.
