Lakers News: Because of ankle soreness, Cam Reddish only played four minutes against the Wizards.
On the first night of a back-to-back against the Los Angeles Clippers, Cam Reddish was a key player in the Lakers’ incredible comeback triumph. After missing more than a month due to injury, he did so in his first game back.
However, head coach Darvin Ham had enough faith in the rookie guard to give him a shot when the Lakers most needed it.
The next night, though, against the Washington Wizards, it appeared completely different.
Reddish played just four minutes in the Lakers’ narrow three-point victory over the lowly Wizards in overtime on the second night of the back-to-back.
Considering what Reddish had supplied After the game, Ham was questioned about Reddish’s availability and the head coach revealed that the decision was made to preserve Reddish for the long run rather than overextend him right away after his injury return because he felt sore from playing the previous night.
