Cowboys Star of Dallas Before he passed away, Larry Allen called his wife Janelle “My Heart & Soul.”
According to a statement from the organization on June 3, Dallas Cowboys veteran and Hall of Famer Larry Allen left behind his wife, Janelle, and three children when he unexpectedly passed away on June 2 while on vacation in Mexico with his family. In his Hall of Fame speech and on social media, he spoke affectionately about his family, referring to his wife as his “heart and soul.”
On June 3, the Dallas Cowboys posted a statement on their X page stating, “The Dallas Cowboys are very saddened to share that Cowboys legend, Super Bowl champion, Cowboys Ring of Honor member, and pro Football Hall of Famer Larry Allen passed away suddenly while on vacation in Mexico with his family on Sunday.”
He was devotedly loved and well-cared for by his son Larry III, daughters Jayla and Loriana, and wife Janelle, whom he called his heart and soul. Along with the many other friends and Cowboys teammates who also adored Larry, the Jones family and the Cowboys offer their sincere sympathies, thoughts, and prayers to the Allen family. In fact, in 2018 Allen posted a picture of himself and his wife on Instagram with the caption, “My heart and soul.”
The Dallas Cowboys announced on June 3 that “with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Cowboys Legend Larry Allen 💙.” The cause of death was kept a secret.
