Even though the Pittsburgh Steelers won’t begin training camp for several months, they are already attempting to add some depth at linebacker to the roster.

Jeremiah Moon, a former Baltimore Raven, was claimed by the Steelers one month ago, but the transaction was postponed until after the Super Bowl. Technically, the Steelers had exclusive rights to him, but he was still a free agent. Moon was then offered the option to either sign a $915,000 one-year contract with Pittsbugh or sit out the 2024 season. Moon reportedly made the latter decision, per Steelers Depot and Steelers Now reports.IT'S DONE: Past linebacker for the Ravens signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

After a career at Florida marred by injuries, Moon joined Baltimore as an undrafted free agent in 2022. He had a few appearances in preseason games before to being named to the practice squad.

Moon made his NFL debut in 2023 after serving as a practice squad member his whole rookie season. In Week 4, he began and participated in eight games against the Cleveland Browns. He had 12 total tackles, including two fumbled recoveries and one for a loss. Moon intends to train with the Steelers and attempt to earn a spot on the squad in the summer.
