It’s clear that the Steelers traded their star to bring in the world’s best player, whom the Steelers have been discussing his contract for almost three years.

GOOD NEWS: The  Steelers traded their star to bring in the world’s best player, whom the they have been discussing his contract for almost three years.

The Pittsburgh Steelers made several moves this summer. The most talked-about roster adjustments engineered by Omar Khan and company were the additions of Russell Wilson and Justin Fields, as well as the deal that sent Diontae Johnson to the Carolina Panthers in return for Donte Jackson.

The finest deal, however, may already be emerging. Kenny Pickett was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles as part of a selection swap.

The Eagles acquired one of the Steelers’ two fourth-round picks, while the Steelers obtained the Eagles’ third-round pick at No. 98 overall, linebacker Payton Wilson. While we are only two preseason games in, it appears that the Steelers won that deal by a landslide – just ask Eagles supporters, who have regrettably been exposed to the Kenny Pickett experiment.

While a lot of focus has been on whether or not Khan and the Steelers will pull off a trade for Brandon Aiyuk of the San Francisco 49ers, not enough attention and credit has been given to the Steelers’ general manager for this trade because it already looks like a major fleece.
