Further “Young group needs to understand the road is a lot different than at home & it requires a little bit more mental toughness and we didn’t have that tonight,” Pop said during his 46-second press conference. Popovich’s advice is interpreted as a wake-up call for the youthful Spurs team, which has a lot of promise but is still inexperienced in winning. It appears the squad needs more time to perfect its craft in order to succeed, even with a player like Wembanyama who is expected to win Rookie of the Year for the campaign.

San Antonio has a bright future ahead of them despite the loss, primarily due to Wembanyama’s performance. Undoubtedly, as the youthful youngster develops further in the upcoming years, the team will quickly regain its footing.
