GREAT NEWS: Musah acknowledges his desire to start more and avenge Roma’s defeat: “We are Milan”
Yunus Musah has confessed that the AC Milan squad is eager to make amends for Thursday night’s defeat to Sassuolo this afternoon.
Following a devastating midweek defeat to Roma in the Europa League quarter-final first leg, Milan will have to return to the league and face a Sassuolo side fighting for survival.
Milan had won seven consecutive games before facing the Giallorossi, but they were defeated 1-0 and must now mount a comeback in the capital on Thursday.
Stefano Pioli may have one eye on that game, as he has made seven changes to the lineup, including Musah, Yacine Adli, Alessandro Florenzi, Samuel Chukwueze, and Luka Jovic.
Musah talked on Milan TV in the build-up to kickoff in the game at the Mapei Stadium, and his words were carried by MilanNews.
How much drive is there to win following the setback to Roma?
“A lot. We, Milan, always want to win. Today we face a team that is fighting for survival. It will be a difficult contest, but we will approach it with full concentration.”
You can start playing from the first minute.
“It’s great to be able to start playing right away. I want to do my best to make this happen more frequently.”
