Rajon Rondo’s incredible 16-year NBA career has been formally ended as a result of his All the Smoke podcast interview. After the Lakers defeated the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday, James had this to say about Rondo: “One of the best players I ever played with.” James’ words were obtained by ESPN.”He was a fierce competitor throughout my career when he was in Boston, and obviously [we] had our battles when I was in Cleveland and then going to Miami,” the man said. “Obviously his IQ is out of this world and I was very lucky to get to team up with him at that point here when I was in LA.”

Over the course of a remarkable career, Rondo averaged 9.8 points, 7.9 assists, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.6 steals in 957 games.

In addition to such outstanding stats, Rondo won two NBA titles with the Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers in 2007–08 and 2019–20, respectively, and recorded the most thefts per game in the 2009–10, 2011–12, 2012–13, and 2015–16 campaigns.

When Rondo was questioned about whether his career was over on the

podcast, to which he answered, “Yes. Yes, I’m through. I am unable to. I would prefer to be with my children.”What a moment, I never took anything for granted while I was playing the game.
