A Lakers player placed among the top six in the primary honors competition.
The Los Angeles Lakers season has been an injury and inconsistent roller coaster. Even though LeBron James and Anthony Davis have both been healthy for the most of the season, it has led them to drop in the standings. James is still regarded as one of the best in the NBA even after 21 seasons. Even if he may not be the same player as he once was, he has demonstrated the capacity to win a game at any time.
With 58 games played this year, James is averaging 25.2 points, seven rebounds, and 8.2 assists per game. Since the beginning, he has remained the team’s leader, and he hasn’t let up at all.
James is presently among the top six favorites to win the Clutch Player of the Year Award, per Bovada Sportsbook. James’s strong play in the fourth quarter this season has contributed to his inclusion on the list. The list is seen below. Player of the Year for Clutch CHI DeMar DeRozan 170 +130 Stephen Curry (GSW) +2500 Damian Lillard (MIL) Alexandre Shai Gilgeous (OKC) + 3000 +5000 Nikola Jokic (DEN) +8000 for LeBron James (LAL)
It’s good to see James receiving some recognition eve though it’s unlikely that he will win the award this season. James has proven to everyone that he still has it in him after a fantastic start to the season. If the Lakers want to have any success in the latter stages of the season or in the postseason, James must maintain his dominant play. He’s always been a clutch player, and for the remainder of the game, that will be expected of him.
