They have been the greatest story in the sport for the last six months due to their sign-stealing controversy, head coach Jim Harbaugh’s departure and move to the NFL, players entering the portal, and now they are back in the spotlight for a different cause.

NFL’s star quarterback wanted to attend college. Kirk Cousins, an NFL quarterback, attended Holland Christian High School and aspired to play for the Wolverines. However, his ambition did not come true. The current Atlanta Falcons quarterback spoke on the Bussin With The Boys podcast about how he wanted to play for Michigan but was never offered.

 

 

 

“Growing up in the state of Michigan, if the University of Michigan offered me, well, come on. At the time, Chad Henne was the starting quarterback for this legendary program. However, you must understand that I was previously unknown to them. Like I was nobody, and Ryan Mallett was dedicated to them and signed for a legitimate cause.”

Cousins went to Michigan State. In the 2012 NFL Draft, Washington took Cousins with the 102nd overall choice. He spent six seasons there before moving to Minnesota for six, and he will now begin the final phase of his career in Atlanta.
