CONFIRMED: Caleb Williams won’t throw at the NFL Scouting Combine, according to the report.
According to a report from Ian Rapoport, Caleb Williams, the anticipated number-one pick and potential quarterback for the Chicago Bears, will not throw at the NFL Scouting Combine.
Williams will reportedly attend the combine but refuse to throw for teams. The NFL scouting combine runs from Monday, February 26 through March 4.
Williams will hold off on hosting NFL clubs and throwing for them until USC’s Pro Day. That won’t happen until more than two weeks after the NFL combine ends on March 20.
The NFL draft’s first round kicks off on April 25. Williams is widely anticipated to be the Bears’ first-choice selection when it comes to the draft, as they hold the first pick in the draft.
