Completed Deal: Rangers recruit a teenage attacker from Everton.
Rangers has officially announced the acquisition of 16-year-old attacker Arian Allen from Premier League team Everton.
The young talent has arrived at Ibrox, and the club announced on its official website [19 February] that Allen is excited to leave life at Goodison Park.
The next six months will be extremely exciting as the teenager joins Steven Smith’s Under-18s group ahead of the second half of the season.
Allen, who has been with Everton since shortly before turning ten, will continue to grow at Ibrox; there is ample proof that young players are given opportunities at the highest levels of competition.
Unexpected transfer from Everton is completed by Rangers
With an easy route to the first team front of him, Allen’s move to Ibrox is a fantastic opportunity for him to advance in his football career.
Numerous exceptional players have come from the program, including Ryan Hardie in 2014, John Fleck in 2008, and Alan Hutton in 2002.
A great illustration of this is Ross McCausland, who made his way into the first squad and managed to maintain his spot in the starting lineup under Philippe Clement.
Regarding his Rangers team, the Belgian appears to subscribe to the adage “If you are good enough, you are old enough.” Furthermore, it might only be a few years before the explosive forward plays in front of the Ibrox crowd.
With the ability to fill in wherever in the front line, Allen will be a valuable asset once he settles in Scotland. After just a few weeks at the club, he might even make an impression on Clement.
The Toffees kid might soon be playing alongside McCausland, Rabbi Matondo, or possibly Cyriel Dessers if he can flourish in Rangers’ academy, as the Gers have been wanting more strikers.
