Three Milan players could miss their match against Verona because of suspension.
Theo Hernandez, Yunus Musah, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek of AC Milan should exercise caution tomorrow against Empoli as they are just one yellow card away from suspension. However, based on the timetable, it’s possible that tactical cards will be discussed.
Milan’s next two matches, against Hellas Verona and Empoli, are matches they should win even if they are shorthanded. For example, both Rafael Leao and Alessandro Florenzi are suspended for tomorrow’s match, but the Rossoneri have adequate depth.
Hernandez, Musah, and Loftus-Cheek might initially be assumed to need to exercise caution tomorrow, but the scheduling makes it possible that they shouldn’t. Milan’s next away match comes against Fiorentina, which is undoubtedly a much tougher class than the previous two, following Verona.
Hernandez might potentially benefit from a card tomorrow since he would then be certain to play in the match versus La Viola. Though it’s unclear how he’ll act on the field tomorrow, there are instances when accepting the punishment is preferable.
Rafael Leao will be replaced in attack by Noah Okafor, and it appears that Luka Jovic will also receive an opportunity. However, Samuel Chukwueze remains undiscovered.
