“Milan suffers from Theo Hernandez’s ban.”
After Milan secured second place with a 3-1 victory, Stefano Pioli accuses Verona of’misunderstanding’ Theo Hernandez’s goal celebration and getting him suspended.
Just before kickoff, word spread that director Barone had been unwell in the team hotel and was transported to the hospital, leading to the cancellation of Atalanta-Fiorentina.
Pioli told DAZN, “I want to start by sending all the best wishes to Joe Barone, hoping that he can get through this as soon as possible.”
“We had the correct interpretation of the game, but we should have been more vigilant when they scored. We ran aggressively, generated tons of scoring opportunities, and stayed cohesive as a team. I believe it was extremely positive, especially considering that we were coming off another game in Europe on Thursday.
In a brilliant solo effort, Theo Hernandez scored the first goal by dodging two challenges and finding the net from an awkward angle.
He will, however, be suspended from the upcoming trip to Fiorentina since he was scheduled for a “provocative” celebration.
It was reported that after Verona coach Marco Barone mistook that for an insult and informed the referee, things got heated.
