BREAKING NEWS: Latrell Mitchell probably received a warning from the NRL following his extremely profanity-filled radio appearance.
After shouting many times over live radio after his team’s Thursday loss to the Broncos, Rabbitohs fullback Latrell Mitchell is expected to receive a call from the NRL telling him he needs to be a better role model.
At Suncorp Stadium, Mitchell, 26, had a mixed night as the Bunnies dropped their opening game of the 2024 season.
Speaking to Triple M’s Ben Dobbin afterwards, the Indigenous player bemoaned his team’s failure to take risks after losing 28–18.
Since then, it has come to light that the FM radio station interrupted the football conversation because of the volume of profanity.
Then Mitchell arched an eyebrow, saying he ‘didn’t care’ about how much cursing was said.

Mitchell started, “Look, honestly, f**k, it was s**t.”
- “In the first section, we demonstrated our values and it was just a hard game, f**k.”
To be honest, the Broncos are competitors and big boys. You’re wondering why they finished second last year; well, f**k, let’s expand on it.
It doesn’t matter if I swear, guys, really.
Mitchell continued by adding another F-bomb and saying that he was pleased with his 100th NRL try during the game.
Fox League pundit Dan Ginnane ‘thanked’ Mitchell for his time on the show, but Dobbin remained composed.
