In free agency, the Eagles lose another offensive lineman.

After losing Sua Opeta to the Bucs and Jason Kelce to retirement, the Eagles now have backup lineman Jack Driscoll sign a free agent contract with the Dolphins.

While Driscoll wasn’t the best backup the Eagles had, he was able to maneuver across the line when necessary because of his training with Jeff Stoutland. During the 2023 season, Driscoll was a regular substitute for injured players like Lane Johnson and Cam Jurgens. In free agency, the Eagles lose another offensive lineman.

Nevertheless, Tyler Steen will play that position for the Eagles this season, and he should advance significantly in his development before the start of the next campaign. Additionally, Matt Hennessey, who has more in-game experience, was signed by Philly last week.

Over the previous two seasons, Driscoll played in all 17 games for the Eagles and proved to be a good choice for a player still in his rookie contract. Howie Roseman will probably select a couple offensive linemen in the upcoming NFL Draft rather than re-signing the Auburn alumni since he presumably didn’t see the long-term benefits.
