BREAKING NEWS: Dan Campbell of the Lions Regards Raiders’ AP Highly.
INDIA PHILIPS, IN Dan Campbell, the coach of the Detroit Lions, is now the model for how to lead your players to success. Part of the reason for that is Campbell’s background as an NFL player. With Antonio Pierce, another head coach who can draw motivation from his playing days, the Las Vegas Raiders have their own version of Coach Campbell. As an interim head coach and former player, Campbell knows when to give credit to a coach who strives to create a winning culture.
Tuesday at the 2024 NFL Combine, Campbell told the media, “Antonio did a good job over there.” “Well, that sort of speaks for him. I have experienced such [situation] temporarily, and it’s not an easy one.Trying to seize control, trying to do things your way while still attempting to keep things afloat. However, I felt he performed a fantastic job and deserved that. He was deserving of another chance.
Thus, I’m confident that I’m involved in it to the extent that it is just the case that someone says, ‘Hey, maybe there is a thing with the ex-players.’ However, I believe those individuals have performed admirably; Ryan DeMeco has earned that by doing a terrific job. I’ll bring it up again: “You can, so they’re out there, you just got to find them.” Good coaches can be found among former players and coaches who have never competed at the NFL level.
Ironically, Josh McDaniels, the former coach of the Raiders, finally lost his cool when he played for Campbell’s Lions. Pierce took over as interim coach after Las Vegas’s Week 8 loss to Detroit, and the team would go on to finish the season with a 5-4 record.
