BREAKING NEWS: Bears appoint Ted Crews as Special Advisor to President Kevin Warren.

The Chicago Bears are expanding their organizational personnel behind President Kevin Warren.

Their most recent addition arrives at Halas Hall with three Super Bowl rings in tow.

Ted Crews, who spent the previous 12 years with the Kansas City Chiefs, has been hired by the team. Crews joins the Bears in a newly formed role titled Special Advisor to the President/CEO and Chief Administrative Officer. This sounds fancy and serious. Here’s what the Bears said about the new guy:

Crews appears to have significant work ahead of him. However, it appears that he should be well prepared for what is ahead. Crews has 26 years of NFL experience, including the previous 12 years in Kansas City, where he worked his way up the ranks to become Executive Vice President of Communications.

Who is Ted Crews, and why did the Bears hire him?

I’ll do some more digging into Crews later because I’m fascinated by what seems like a constant stream of additions to the Halas Hall directory. For now, I’ll re-share this from Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio:BREAKING NEWS: Bears appoint Ted Crews as Special Advisor to President Kevin Warren.

To be clear, I am not arguing this is a good hire simply because Florio says it is. Crews, on the other hand, certainly takes his moniker seriously. That is what happens when you have 26 years of experience working in the NFL. Hopefully, all of that labor will benefit the Bears as the franchise modernizes itself from top to bottom. And if the crew can bring.
