NFL Rumors: The Packers and Aaron Jones’ agent met to discuss a potential contract pay cut
According to Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the Green Bay Packers met with the agent of running back Aaron Jones this week at the NFL Scouting Combine to talk about a potential wage reduction for Jones in the last year of his contract.
Silverstein claims that the two parties are trying to come to an agreement on a salary that will fulfill Jones’s expectations for his free agency while also lowering his salary cup number.
According to Silverstein, if they are unable to come to an agreement over the next two weeks, Jones may be released by the Packers and given the chance to consider his choices in free agency.
