He said he would love to return to Wimbledon, and that he had no thoughts about this possibly being his final participation at SW19.
“I would to come back here. I don’t have anything else in my thoughts right now, that this is my last Wimbledon. I wanna play, at least, whatever I don’t know. I don’t have any limitations in my mind. I still want to keep going and play as long as I feel I can play on this high level.”
The 37-year-old has consistently said he wants to keep playing as long as he believes he can play at a high level, and this event certainly proved that he still can.
He may not be winning as much as he used to, entering August without a trophy for the first time in nearly two decades, but as long as he feels he can win, he will keep going, and fans will be happy to have him.
