Cut wide receiver Devron Harper; the Vikings sign defensive lineman Jalen Redmond.
Devron Harper, a receiver, was waived by the Minnesota Vikings on Tuesday in conjunction with the signing of free agent defensive lineman Jalen Redmond. Redmond joined the team after spending the spring playing for the UFL’s Arlington Renegades, where he recorded 18 tackles, five tackles for loss, and 4.5 sacks in four games.
Redmond signed as an undrafted free agent out of Oklahoma in 2023 and joined the Carolina Panthers for their offseason program before being waived in August of the same year. In his 19 starts out of 36 games played from 2018–22, Redmond recorded 71 tackles, 31.5 tackles for loss, 14 sacks, a forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries as a Sooner. Harper signed as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Mercer University this spring and joined the Vikings.
