COULD BE DONE: Dijon midfielder is on his way to join Milan as a free agent.
AC Milan has dispatched scouts to observe Dijon midfielder Loic Etoga play this season, according to a French report. Footmercato reports that Etoga has piqued the curiosity of several clubs following a successful first season with Dijon, who play in the Championnat National after being relegated from Ligue 1 last season.
Etoga has shone well since joining the professional team last October. Crowned African U17 champion with Cameroon in 2019, he required some time to demonstrate his abilities at the highest level, but he is already a regular starter. The 21-year-old has made 19 appearances this season, including 14 starts, with Dijon winning eight, drawing four, and losing two. Etoga was able to string together high-level performances, earning multiple man of the match accolades during this time.
According to the research, Etoga is at a crossroads and has to choose the proper project to continue his progress. Napoli is interested in him, as is Milan, which has frequently looked to the French market for talent.
The Rossoneri have sent scouts to watch him on multiple occasions and are interested in signing him as a free agent once his contract expires. They believe he has a valuable skill set and the potential to develop into a top player.
