Manchester United is clinging to its hopes of playing in Europe next season and must start producing results if they are to finish strongly. Erik ten Hag’s side has won just two of their previous ten Premier League games, and their season reached a new low with Monday’s 4-0 defeat to Crystal Palace.

The Reds must now regroup and prepare to face championship contenders Arsenal at Old Trafford, and Ten Hag will want to see some injured players return for what appears to be a pivotal encounter. And, before of Saturday’s kickoff, ManchesterWorld has compiled a list of the most recent headlines.

United are reportedly eyeing a cut-price summer swoop for Atletico Madrid left-back Reinildo. The Sun reports that the 30-year-old could be available for just £8million, due to having one year remaining on his contract come June.

Ten Hag will likely be in the market for reinforcements at left-back, having had to play Diogo Dalot on his unnatural side for large parts of this season. Tyrell Malacia is yet to feature this season and the United manager confirmed on Friday that Luke Shaw had suffered a setback in his rehabilitation.

Reinildo has only played 15 times for Atletico over the past 12 months after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury in February 2023, with an exit from the Spanish capital looking likely. Aston Villa are also thought to be interested in the Mozambique international.

Amrabat talks

AC Milan is apparently in negotiations with Sofyan Amrabat’s representatives, with a loan extension at United seeming increasingly doubtful. According to Italian newspaper Tuttosport, the Moroccan will try to leave parent club Fiorentina when his contract expires in the next year.REPORT: Manchester United is considering an £8 million deal for a left-back, while AC Milan is in talks with the outgoing player.

United paid around £8m to take Amrabat on loan last summer but the Moroccan international’s time in Manchester has not gone to plan, with Ten Hag picking just about anyone over him. The move can be made permanent for around £20m but the likelihood is that the club and player part ways.

Milan were keen on Amrabat last summer and have retained their interest, with his diminishing contract potentially lowering Fiorentina’s demands. The Serie A side could now settle for around £15m.
