BREAKING: Blue Jays fans in Tears as manager John Schneider publicly announced stepping down his career as he undergoes…

Blue Jays manager John Schneider criticizes the squad after their latest setback.

Toronto Blue Jays manager John Schneider issued a harsh message to his players following another disheartening loss on Friday. On Friday, the Blue Jays lost 9-3 to the Washington Nationals, their third loss in a row and ninth in their past twelve games. The loss came after Schneider delivered a pregame remark that appeared to generate a feeling of urgency among his team.

It did not work. The Jays took the lead with three runs in the second inning, but they did not score again as Washington scored four runs each in the seventh and eighth innings. Despite facing Patrick Corbin, who had a 6.82 ERA entering the game, Toronto managed only three hits after the second inning. Schneider publicly stated after the game that the Blue Jays did not fight hard enough against Corbin and that the hitters “let him off the hook.”

“You can’t let guys off the hook, whether it’s Corbin or f-ing Babe Ruth. It does not matter. It makes no difference to Cy Young. “You have to keep grinding,” Schneider told MLB.com’s Keegan Matheson. Two weeks ago, the Blue Jays were 13-10 and appeared to be on track to compete in the AL East, as many had predicted. They are now 15-18 heading into Saturday’s game, and they cannot afford to continue sliding behind teams like the Yankees and Orioles.
