Wake Forest power forward Andrew Carr has transferred to Kentucky.
Carr began his career at Delaware, where he helped lead the Fightin’ Blue Hens to the NCAA tournament in 2022 by scoring 17 points and grabbing 12 rebounds in the CAA final game versus UNCW. He transferred to Wake Forest after that season and averaged double-digit scoring in both seasons in Winston-Salem.
Carr becomes Kentucky’s sixth player and the third to pledge this weekend. San Diego State guard Lamont Butler committed to the Wildcats on Friday, and Oklahoma transfer Otega Oweh did the same on Saturday.
Rounding out the current roster are Drexel transfer Amari Williams, ESPN 100 guard Travis Perry, who committed to Kentucky under John Calipari and kept his pledge after the coaching change, and freshman guard Collin Chandler, a former top-50 recruit who committed to Pope at BYU before embarking on a two-year mission.
Kentucky is still actively recruiting Utah State transfer Great Osobor, one of the finest frontcourt players in the portal, and Dayton transfer Koby Brea, an outstanding shooter.
Kentucky received its third commitment in as many days Sunday night, as Wake Forest forward Andrew Carr committed to the Wildcats. Carr chose Mark Pope’s program over Texas Tech and Villanova. Carr, a 6-foot-10 power forward, will bring his inside-outside skills to Lexington. This season, he averaged 13.5 points and 6.8 rebounds for Wake Forest, shooting over 37% from three. His career with the Demon Deacons ended with a 31-point, 11-rebound performance against Georgia in the NIT.
