Inter have been fined €3,000 for chants directed at Milan left-back Theo Hernandez during the club’s Scudetto celebrations on Sunday evening.

The Nerazzurri went on a victory parade around Milan after their 2-0 win over Torino in Serie A over the weekend, and some fans and players couldn’t help but mock their second-placed city rivals. There were numerous cries directed at Milan and its players, none more so than Hernandez.

One of the most remarkable photos from the event was wing-back Denzel Dumfries holding aloft a banner provided to him by the fans, which depicted him and Hernandez superimposed on an image from the popular video game GTA

5.

The banner showed ‘Dumfries’ holding a leash with a dog, which had Hernandez’s face photoshopped in on top. Dumfries then issued an apology on Instagram, admitting he had made an ‘error of judgement’.REPORT: Inter receives €3,000 fine for chanting directed at Milan's Theo Hernandez.

Inter punished for chanting but not for Dumfries banner.

The fine that Inter received on Tuesday is especially for the crowd’s chanting concerning Theo Hernandez, not the banner that Dumfries held up.

The Dutchman could yet face additional punishment, such as a fine or suspension, depending on the outcome of an investigation launched by the Sporting Judge in Italy on Monday.
