Heat injury report: three players sidelined for Game 4 versus Celtics.
The Heat are still shorthanded in the first round against the Celtics, but it appears like they will be able to add a reserve guard back into the rotation. Delon Wright is listed as probable on the injury report after missing the third game due to personal circumstances. However, guard Terry Rozier is sidelined due to a neck injury. Jimmy Butler (knee) and Josh Richardson (shoulder surgery) are both sitting out due to injuries. Butler was in Miami for Saturday’s huge Game 3 loss, and he even got an interview on TNT midway through the game.
Wright played rotation minutes in Games 1 and 2, totaling at least 20 minutes in each game. He had a major impact in Game 2, scoring 17 points on 6-for-7 shooting, including a blistering 5-for-5 on three-pointers. Now, it appears like the guard will return to the lineup for a Miami squad in need of firepower after scoring only 84 points in Game 3.
The Celtics crushed the Heat in Game 3, with a 42-point second quarter propelling them ahead for good. The Heat never attempted a strong comeback, as the Celtics’ physicality bothered them throughout the game. While the Celtics were down after a surprising Game 2 loss, they recovered well because the Heat were unable to hit 3-pointers as they did in their only win of the series.
The Celtics also have no injuries to report going into Game 4, so they are at full strength. This series, none of their key rotation players have missed time due to good health. They’ll aim to take a 3-1 series lead into Game 4, which is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Kaseya Centre.
