GOOD NEWS: Milan could pocket more than €30 million as Atalanta and Bologna decide on loanees.
AC Milan is expected to earn more than €30 million from the sales of two players this summer, with Charles De Ketelaere and Alexis Saelemaekers both ready to go permanently, according to reports.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (see below), Atalanta and Bologna want to activate their buy-out options for De Ketelaere and Saelemaekers at the end of their loan periods.
The playmaker would cost Atalanta €22 million, and the winger would cost Bologna €9.5 million, for a total of €31.5 million for Milan. Both teams are quite pleased with the players’ performances and will most likely keep them, even if an absolute final decision has yet to be made.
Saelemaekers was permitted to leave Milan last summer due of the additions of Christian Pulisic and Samuel Chukwueze for the right wing slot, and he has repaid Bologna’s faith by scoring three goals and providing two assists in 25 Serie A game under Thiago Motta.
De Ketelaere meanwhile departed after a very difficult first season with the Rossoneri but he has been revitalised under Gian Piero Gasperini at Atalanta, racking up seven goals and six assists in 29 league games. He recently hinted at a desire to stay beyond the Summer.
