BREAKING: Caleb Williams’ NFL Draft prospects are impacted by a coach’s statement that “there is insufficient evidence” to rank him first overall.

Caleb Williams, the USC quarterback, is raising questions about his probable first-round pick in the NFL Draft after pausing his training for a vacation to Tokyo.

A head coach has argued that Williams hasn’t done enough to prove he’s the clear first pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. Williams is largely expected to be taken first overall by the Chicago Bears on April 25, especially since the team traded starter quarterback Justin Fields to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Williams was observed conversing with new Bears wide receiver Keenan Allen at USC Pro Day, but he has faced further criticism for pausing his pre-draft workouts to go on vacation with his fiancée. According to NFL Network, Williams has taken a vacation to visit Tokyo with his partner, though it should be emphasized that he has nearly completed his pre-draft procedure.

Williams has been in the spotlight since the offseason began, and it is believed that he is already in frequent contact with the Bears ahead of his first season. Drake Maye of North Carolina, Jayden Daniels of LSU, and J.J. McCarthy of Michigan are all good quarterbacks who are likely to be picked in the first round, but their abilities have received less attention when compared to Williams’.

However, an unidentified head coach believes McCarthy has gone overlooked and that Williams has not proven himself properly. Williams delivered a stellar performance at USC Pro Day, living up to the hype. The former Heisman Trophy winner could be the key to breaking the Bears’ quarterback jinx.

An unnamed head coach, known for his astute examination of quarterbacks, has expressed critical skepticism. “You’re never going to be in that spot again, so you better get the right guy,” the anonymous expert stated ahead of the Bears’ first pick in the NFL Draft.

His preference seemingly lies with McCarthy who clinched the National Championship title with Michigan. “When [McCarthy] did throw it and he had to throw it, it was pretty impressive, man. He beat Alabama – he had to make big-time throws in that game, and he did.

“If I was Chicago, I’d bring in Caleb and J.J. this week and grind the s*** out of them. Because there isn’t enough data to indicate Caleb is certainly number one.”

Even before his college debut, Williams was seen as a promising candidate. This focus grew even more intense during his senior year. During his 37 college games (33 starts), Williams threw for 10,082 yards, 93 touchdowns, and only 14 interceptions. In addition, the USC standout rushed for 945 yards and 27 touchdowns.BREAKING: Caleb Williams' NFL Draft prospects are impacted by a coach's statement that "there is insufficient evidence" to rank him first overall.

The Bears haven’t had much success at quarterback, but a rival general manager disagrees with the nameless head coach. The Chicago Bears should invest in Williams, says the NFC general manager: “I think it’s a no-brainer.” In my opinion, the talent is rare. So just go for it. I don’t think this is a dispute.”

The Bears’ offense has already improved since adding ex-Philadelphia Eagles running back D’Andre Swift. New Bears signings Allen and tight end Gerald Everett, both from the Los Angeles Chargers, expand Williams’ target options.
