According to The Chronicle’s Lee Ryder, Newcastle United sent scouts to Stamford Bridge recently to check on Blues midfielder Conor Gallagher.

Lee Ryder reports that he could be available for a fee of roughly £40 million, and that he now earns around £50,000 per week. Newcastle may offer him a significant wage boost, and he’d fit well into Howe’s system as a versatile No 8 who plays with tremendous intensity, although Tottenham and West Ham are also interested.
