Baltimore Ravens sign local icon and former Buffalo Bills All-Pro wide out for 2024 season.
The Baltimore Ravens revealed Sunday evening that they have acquired a local wide receiver to their roster for the upcoming season. The Ravens will expand their roster to 90 players during the offseason workout period. The Baltimore Ravens needed help at receiver and on special teams.
The Ravens needed to add pass-catching depth for quarterback Lamar Jackson after veteran wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. left for free agency this year. On Sunday, they added a player who can contribute in a variety of roles.
Deonte Harty signed with the Ravens. After the 2019 NFL Draft, the New Orleans Saints signed Harty as an undrafted free agent. He remained with the Saints through the 2022 season. He played for the Buffalo Bills last season.
Harty was named All-Pro and nominated to the Pro Bowl after leading the league in punt returns and yards in 2019. Harty has 79 receptions for 943 yards and five touchdowns in his five-year NFL career. He has returned 179 punts for 2,989 yards (16.7 YPR) and two touchdowns. He returned his career’s longest punt (96 yards) for a touchdown to help the Bills win the AFC East and upset the Miami Dolphins in Week 18.
