In light of the rumors that Lille striker Jonathan David would be joining AC Milan in the summer, David’s agent has confirmed that his client is in Milan.
For a number of years, Milan has been interested in Jonathan David, but they have never made the final move to sign the Canadian. But this summer, they might have a chance to sign him to a contract at a reduced cost.
Orazio Accomando of DAZN claims that David is attracting interest from Milan and Napoli. He has been followed by the Rossoneri since the previous year, and the Azzurri consider him to be Victor Osimhen’s replacement.
His agent is in Milan, as seen by the most recent Instagram story, but Lille values him at over €50 million even if his contract expires in June 2025, which means by the end of the season, he will have one year remaining on it.
The Canadian had a challenging start to the season, but in 2024 he truly made a comeback, as evidenced by his 23 goals and seven assists this season across all competitions.
The 24-year-old Canadian international has already scored 81 goals and provided 16 assists in 175 games for Lille in addition to 26 goals in 45 international appearances.
