REPORT: Youngster for the Wests Tigers accepts a two-game suspension.

Lachlan Galvin, the star of the Wests Tigers‘ Easter Monday triumph over the Parramatta Eels, has agreed to serve a two-game suspension.

The five-eighth was sent off the field during the game for a hip-drop tackle on Kelma Tuilagi. The Match Review Committee (MRC) has penalized him with Grade 3 Dangerous Contact.

If Galvin enters an early guilty plea, he will only miss two games; but, if he contests the case and is found guilty by the court, he would miss three games.

He entered an early guilty plea, as the Wests Tigers revealed on Tuesday.

Coach Benji Marshall of the Tigers stated, “I don’t think Lachie’s was as bad as that,” following Monday’s game.

“But I didn’t see it closely enough.”

Galvin will be back in Round 7 against the Penrith Panthers, however he won’t be playing in Rounds 5 and 6 against The Dolphins and St George Illawarra Dragons.

Jayden Sullivan will probably fill his place in the halves in his absence, but the team might potentially choose to start Latu Fainu.REPORT: Youngster for the Wests Tigers accepts a two-game suspension.

Fainu has played in the NSW Cup for the past two weeks, although he is still recovering from his injury. He has only played 40 minutes per game in each match.
