After three quarters, the Lakers lead 100-79, allowing superstars LeBron James and Anthony Davis to rest for almost the whole fourth quarter.

James and Davis, who are tenth and sixth in the league in terms of minutes played, respectively, were 29 and 28.

With six games left in the regular season, the Lakers would prefer to catch up to the Suns and Kings by more than 1.5 games in order to prevent any tiebreakers from going the other way. They need Davis and James to be available for as many of those six games as feasible in order to accomplish that. And they can accomplish that if they take care of business early.
