Milan aircraft to Florence interrupted on the eve of Fiorentina match.
The Milan players took a longer journey than intended to Flornece ahead of their Serie A encounter against Fiorentina on Saturday evening, as the plane they were flying in was returned to the airport before taking off again.
The Rossoneri took off from Milan Malpensa early Friday evening, but were forced to return to the runway after only a few minutes. TMW said that arrangements had been made for the Milan players and coaching staff to join another flight. They have subsequently landed in Tuscany, well behind schedule.
The overall flight time from Milan to Florence is projected to be roughly 50 minutes, despite the fact that Milan took three hours to complete the voyage on Friday night.
Milan will be missing suspended Theo Hernandez, as well as injured trio Simon Kjaer, Pierre Kalulu, and Tommaso Pobega, when they face Fiorentina. Three youngsters, Jan-Carlo Simic, Davide Bartesaghi, and Kevin Zeroli, have travelled with the senior squad. The match between Fiorentina and Milan is scheduled for 19.45 on Saturday.
