On Friday, the Buffalo Bills signed free agent Will Clapp to a one-year contract, adding depth to their interior offensive line. Clapp has spent six seasons in the NFL, the last two with the Los Angeles Chargers, where he started a career-high 11 games at centre last season. He finished the season on injured reserve due to a knee injury received in mid-December.

The 28-year-old spent his first four seasons with the New Orleans Saints, who drafted him from LSU in the seventh round in 2018. He has started 21 of 65 career NFL games.The Buffalo Bills have signed Will Clapp to a one-year contract, adding depth to their interior offensive line.

Clapp, who stands 6-foot-5 and weighs 311 pounds, adds seasoned depth to a line that has been changing since the Bills lost starting centre Mitch Morse in early March to conserve salary budget room. Additionally, Buffalo traded backup centre Ryan Bates to Chicago during this offseason. Connor McGovern is anticipated to move to centre, with David Edwards taking over McGovern’s place at left guard.
