GOOD NEWS: Milan now has a better chance of landing a €40 million contract, according to “Zirkzee: green light.”
According to a report, AC Milan has an advantage over Bayern Munich in their chase of Joshua Zirkzee because a return is not expected at this time.
With so many clubs interested in signing him, Zirkzee understands he needs to make a decision on his future in the next two months, according to this morning’s issue of La Gazzetta dello Sport (see below).
There has already been a lot of discussion in recent weeks regarding Bayern Munich’s potential to re-sign him for €40 million. The striker is not eager to return, though, as the German team currently has other priorities.
The Bayern element
To put it briefly, neither the player nor his previous team are drawn to that possibility at this time. Zirkzee, who was a promising player for Feyenoord when he was 16 years old, of course has a lot of admiration for Bayern. His time in Munich did not, however, end happily; there were ups and downs during his tenure.
After being thrust into action by Bayern in December 2019, Zirkzee set a record by becoming the fastest player in Bundesliga history to score two goals. However, until moving to Parma in January 2021, 2020 consisted of just a few games as a starter.
Zirkzee has since achieved success in Belgium and Italy; in summary, he is open to new experiences. Harry Kane, who is thirty years old and still has a lot of football ahead of him, was selected by Bayern last summer.
With the 18-year-old Mathys Tel, who moved to Bayern from Rennes in 2022, the team already has an investment in a promising striker to guard. The Bavarian team is unlikely to spend the €40 million necessary to bring Zirkzee back because of this.
Milan’s concern
Along with Benjamin Sesko, Milan has placed the Dutchman at the top of their list of priorities. They are aware that Bayern has the ability to match any bid, repurchase Zirkzee for €40 million, and have a substantial resale rate of nearly 50%.
In summary, Milan has to spend at least €40 million to acquire Zirkzee. In the meantime, Bologna is doing its own calculations, aware that they have an extremely valuable asset from which they need to try to raise as much money as they can.
First of all, they can try to retain Zirkzee for an additional season in the unlikely event that they qualify for the Champions League, which is now unquestionably in the picture. Second, Atalanta paid Manchester United approximately €75 million plus €10 million in bonuses for Rasmus Hojlund.
Since Zirkzee is similar in age and stature to that transfer, the Rossoblu are using that figure as a point of comparison. Bologna would see an incredible financial gain, given that the 22-year-old was purchased for €8.5 million.
Zlatan and the major dangers
Milan will consider the terms of any possible agreement, as well as the advice of Stefano Pioli or another coach and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who will have strong opinions along with Giorgio Furlani, Geoffrey Moncada, and Antonio D’Ottavio.
Theoretically, Zirkzee has a common thread that connects the past and the future: Zlatan was one of Joshua’s favorite players, and his current style of play more than any other player’s is reminiscent of a young Ibra.
The Premier League poses the biggest threat. Since English teams can afford more, Zirkzee is aware that he will eventually play in England. To put it briefly, not everything in life is predictable, thus he probably plans to carry out his proposal in a few years.
Thus, keep an eye on Arsenal, who have a style of play that will enhance his improvisations, and Manchester United, who moved first. He also tends to play as more of a “9.5” than a traditional center-forward.
