Phoenix: l insider John Gambadoro reports that the Phoenix Suns anticipate having new guard Isaiah Thomas available for Wednesday’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers.

He stated on Twitter/X that “Isaiah Thomas is expected to be an available for the Suns for the 76ers game on Wednesday.”

More about Thomas’ landing in the desert from HoopsRumors:

“If his contract starts on Wednesday when the squad heads back home, he can play in six games over the course of the next ten days. He would be near to the end of the season with a second 10-day deal, but in order to qualify for the playoffs, the Suns would need to offer him a regular contract.

“Thomas, who will make $183,704 for his ten days with the team, won’t need a comparable trade because Phoenix has a roster opening. The Suns will incur a $116,075 cap hit.”Report: The newly signed Suns player will face the 76ers.

Saban Lee and Thomas will vie for the role of backup point guard. Since Devin Booker and Bradley Beal have been starting for Phoenix, Eric Gordon has been a reliable reserve player.

The Suns host the 76ers on Wednesday and then host the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday.
