Gregg Popovich, the head coach of the San Antonio Spurs, likened rookie Victor Wembanyama to NBA veteran and team icon Tim Duncan.
Wembanyama shares the same mindset as Duncan, according to Popovich.
Among the most modest players in NBA history is Duncan. Despite being a once-in-a-generation figure, he was never conceited. Wembanyama appears to be another lowly star for the Spurs.

Duncan played with the Spurs throughout his whole illustrious career. Along with three MVPs in the Finals and two in the regular season, he won five crowns.
Over the course of his career, Duncan has averaged 19.0 points, 10.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 0.7 steals, and 2.2 blocks. He ranks seventh in rebounds and 16th in points all-time.
