Former NBA player and Memphis Grizzlies guard Gilbert Arenas criticized the Golden State Warriors on a recent edition of Gil’s Arena for their contentious choice to leave Boston Celtics standout Jaylen Brown free.

“Ben Simmons makes sense,” stated Arenas. There are some players to whom you should apply that. Not the $300 millionaire guy… Some teams have very few players on them. You really have to be selective since there aren’t many guys like that out there.”

Naturally, Brown heated up, and the Boston Celtics easily defeated the Warriors. Since that game, Golden State has struggled a little bit since they haven’t fully recovered.BREAKING NEWS: A former NBA player criticizes the Warriors for their divisive choice.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr responded, “You try different things, you have to pick your matchups,” in response to a question concerning the team’s approach against Brown. Arenas vehemently criticized the choice to leave a player of Brown’s ability open from three point range, expressing his strong disagreement with Golden State’s head coach.
