Great news on Steph Curry’s ankle injury for the Warriors
Regarding Steph Curry’s injury status, there’s some positive news.
Curry left Thursday’s 125-122 Golden State Warriors loss to the Chicago Bulls because of an ankle injury he sustained in the fourth quarter. Curry walked off the court to the locker room after twisting his right ankle while moving in the paint.
Golden State can rejoice because Curry’s ankle MRI revealed no problems. The star player for the Warriors might miss a couple of games, but a prolonged absence is not anticipated.
After the loss on Thursday, Golden State’s season record is now 33-29. For the top seed in the West, the Timberwolves are ahead of both the Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers by 10.5 games. With 20 games remaining in the regular season, Golden State is ranked ninth in the conference. Even if Curry misses a few games, the Warriors should still be in good enough form to at least make it to the play-in tournament because both the Lakers and the Warriors are 5.5 games ahead of the Jazz, the team that is ranked 11th.
This season, Curry is averaging 26.9 points on 44.9 percent shooting.
