Mary Fowler has shared a heartwarming photo of herself and Nathan Cleary, much to the delight of the power couple’s fans.
Fowler has had a busy week, scoring in both of the Matildas’ wins against Uzbekistan as Australia booked their place in the 12-team competition at this year’s Paris Olympics.
The 21-year-old scored a superb goal from outside the box in the first leg against Uzbekistan and smashed another home from close range in the second game in Melbourne.
There were touching scenes on the field at Marvel Stadium after the Matildas demolished Uzbekistan 10-0 as Cathy Freeman congratulated the team on their Olympic qualification.
Fowler shared a photo of herself with the Australian Olympic icon in an Instagram post captioned: “Gratefuls”.
The star forward also posted several photos of the Matildas’ celebration along with a cute selfie with boyfriend Cleary.
The sporting power couple, keeping the sponsors happy by both wearing Adidas gear, can be seen holding hands as Cleary rests his head on Fowler’s shoulder.
Fowler’s Matildas teammates Ellie Carpenter, Tameka Yallop and Lydia Williams reacted with love heart emojis.
Matildas defender Charli Grant commented: “So wholesome.”
