BREAKING NEWS: Burnley manager Vincent Kompany makes an emphatic remark in reaction to Everton’s appeal ruling.

The Toffees were awarded back four points, it was disclosed earlier this week, when their appeal result was made public.

In November, Sean Dyche’s team was first docked ten points for violating the Premier League’s sustainability and profitability regulations.

The verdict was appealed by the club, and it was heard earlier this month. Everton’s punishment will be lowered from 10 points to six points effective immediately, according to an appeal board decision.

Everton has passed Brentford and Nottingham Forest, bringing Burnley’s margin to safety to 11 points.BREAKING NEWS: Burnley manager Vincent Kompany makes an emphatic remark in reaction to Everton's appeal ruling.

However, the Toffees are not out of the woods just yet, as they were hit with a second accusation after their 2022–2023 financial reports were made public in January. It was also discovered that Nottingham Forest violated the sustainability and profitability guidelines.

The hearing for Everton’s second charge is scheduled to begin now that their appeal has been heard, and a decision is anticipated before the 2023–2024 season ends.

Even if Burnley might profit from additional point deductions, Kompany insists he isn’t worried about anything outside of Turf Moor.

“I don’t have the pretense to weigh in on this debate; this weekend and the Burnley Football Club are my only priorities,” he declared.

“In all honesty, I don’t really care, but I don’t want to respond in a general way where I just bat it aside. All that matters to me is my staff and their work.

“That is the only thing I wish to think about.”
