BREAKING NEWS: West Ham and Newcastle are allegedly “watching” Leif Davis.

Ipswich Town left-back Leif Davis is being watched by both West Ham and Newcastle United in the Premier League, as reported by talkSPORT.

Ever since joining the Blues in the summer of 2021 for £1.2 million from Leeds United, the 24-year-old has been an absolute revelation.

The full-back has set up 12 goals this season and is just three goals shy of breaking the Championship record set by defenders Kieran Trippier (Burnley, 13/14) and Barry Douglas (Wolves, 17/18). Trippier set the mark with a league-topping 14 assists in a League One promotion season.

With his team tied for second position in the Championship table with Leeds, Blues manager Kieran McKenna recently expressed his “no doubts” that Davis was a Premier League player waiting to happen.

The left-back Aaron Cresswell, who has played for West Ham for nearly 300 games since leaving Ipswich in 2011, is being replaced.

Davis grew up cheering on the Newcastle Magpies and was born there. “I’ve always been a huge fan and had a season ticket at St James’ Park for years,” he said to The Sun last summer.

Ryan Taylor and Fabricio Coloccini were present when I went to see them for the first time. Gabriel Obertan and Yohan Cabaye came next.BREAKING NEWS: West Ham and Newcastle are allegedly "watching" Leif Davis.

“The European nights, when I went up there with my dad and brother, were my favorite games.” I’m hoping that this season there will be an opportunity to see a couple Champions League games.

Davis’s Portman Road contract expires in2025, however Ipswich has the option to extend it by one further year.
