BREAKING NEWS: Report: UEFA responds to Rangers with an implausible accusation as Ibrox displeasure surfaced.

According to the Scottish Daily Mail, UEFA has responded to UK Rangers, stating that a later start time for the Gers’ Europa League matchup with Benfica at Ibrox is not possible.

The newspaper stated on page 111 of its print edition on Saturday, February 24, that UEFA has mandated that the Light Blues’ home leg of their match against Benfica begin at 5:45 p.m. in order to meet the competition’s broadcast requirements.

Rangers expressed their dissatisfaction with the decision on Friday, February 23, through their official channels. However, the European regulatory body has stated that it is not feasible for the game to go place at 8:00 p.m.

When does Rangers’ Europa League matchup with Benfica take place at Ibrox?

Since many supporters won’t be able to make the trek to Ibrox due to the earlier kickoff time, Rangers and their supporters were naturally upset when UEFA made its decision public on Friday.

The supporters of Philippe Clement’s team have been rallying behind their new manager since the Belgian took over in Glasgow, but it will now be more difficult for them to do so on European evenings due to a recent decision issued by UEFA.BREAKING NEWS: Report: UEFA responds to Rangers with an implausible accusation as Ibrox displeasure surfaced.

It seems odd that this game couldn’t have been broadcast, even while it makes sense that the Gers have financial obligations to fulfill and that they have to fulfill, especially considering how advantageous it is for them to play later in the schedule.

Ibrox will be rocking at kickoff time, and the fans will be fully behind their team as they try to secure a spot in the Europa League quarterfinals as Clement and his staff continue to consider the potential of a quadruple this season.

Ahead of the Gers’ matchup with the Hearts, Clement provided an update on Todd Cantwell’s health.
